Copycat Cherry Limeade

A Sonic Inspired Recipe you can make in 5 minutes or less

The Cherry Limeade from Sonic is a summer favorite is so easy to make and always tastes great! This is a wonderful treat when you are having friends or family over.

Kids love it, adults love it, and even teenagers will be happy and excited at this refreshing summer classic being served at your house on a hot summer day. This drink is so easy and inexpensive to make! You most likely have everything you need already in the pantry, and making copycat recipes at home is a great way to budget and save money, while still enjoying your favorite food and drinks.

I am adding this to our favorite Copycat recipes which include Starbucks Vanilla Bean Frapp, Chili’s Salsa, and California Pizza Kitchen Pizza.

Making recipes at home is a great way to get the restaurant experience without spending a ton of money.

Does it matter which Ingredients I use?

Yes! You can make this refreshing summer classic any way you choose, but I do like to work in a sugar free option here and there where I can. A quick and easy way to do that is by choosing a sugar free option for the base. This will be a great calorie and health conscious swap to make. You can swap the base for either:

The Closest to the Real Thing is in the Details

The smaller the ice, the better. To elevate your copycat drink experience (and any drinks you make at home for that matter) you will want to invest in a pebble ice machine.

The GE Opal is such an amazing pebble ice machine, that sits right on top of your counter! It is perfect for those summer favorite frosty drinks.

To make the authentic cherry lime aid, you can opt to use a large foam cup, just like it is served it at your favorite drive-in restaurant.

For a more environmentally sustainable option, a reusable insulated cup will do the trick just as nicely.
